IT4Innovations and M Computers would like to invite you to three full day NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certified training courses to learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC) development for NVIDIA GPUs.
The first half day is an introduction by IT4Innovations and M Computers about the latest state of the art NVIDIA technologies. We also explain our services offered for AI and HPC, for industrial and academic users. The introduction will include a tour though IT4Innovations‘ computing center, which hosts an NVIDIA DGX-2 system and the new Barbora cluster with V100 GPUs.
The first full day training course, Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision, is provided by IT4Innovations and gives you an introduction to AI development for NVIDIA GPUs.
Two further HPC related full day courses, Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++ and Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with OpenACC, are delivered as PRACE training courses through the collaboration with the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences (Germany).
We are pleased to be able to offer the course Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision to industry free of charge, for the first time. Further courses for industry may be instigated upon request.
Academic users can participate free of charge for all three courses.

Explore the fundamentals of deep learning by training neural networks and using results to improve performance and capabilities.
During the day, you’ll learn the basics of deep learning by training and deploying neural networks. You’ll learn how to:
Upon completion, you’ll be able to start solving problems on your own with deep learning.
The CUDA computing platform enables the acceleration of CPU-only applications to run on the world’s fastest massively parallel GPUs. You will gain experience in C/C++ application acceleration by:
Upon completion, you’ll be able to accelerate and optimise existing C/C++ CPU-only applications using the most essential CUDA tools and techniques. You’ll understand an iterative style of CUDA development that will allow you to ship accelerated applications fast.
You will learn the basics of OpenACC, a high-level programming language for programming on GPUs. Discover how to accelerate the performance of your applications beyond the limits of CPU-only programming with simple pragmas. You’ll learn:
Upon completion, you'll be ready to use OpenACC to GPU accelerate CPU-only applications.
is a research specialist and instructor at IT4Innovations for HPC code optimization and Machine/Deep Learning. He has a record of almost ten years in conducting international training events and workshops in these fields. Recently, he received his certification from NVIDIA as a University Ambassador of the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) program. This certification allows him to offer NVIDIA DLI courses to users of IT4Innovations' HPC services.
studied physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and later worked at the research centre DESY. He received his PhD from the Free University of Berlin for his studies in the field of lattice QCD. Since 2008 he has been working in the HPC group at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, and is education and training coordinator at LRZ. Volker is an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) certified OpenACC instructor participating in the University Ambassador programme. Within PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, he is leading the workpackage WP5 "HPC Commissioning and Prototyping".
received his PhD in theoretical Physics from the University of Osnabrück in 2006. He worked in the field of molecular magnetics through modelling techniques such as the exact numerical diagonalisation of the Heisenberg model. He joined the Leibniz Computing Centre (LRZ) in 2007 working in the High Performance Computing group. His tasks include user support, optimisation and parallelisation of scientific application codes, and benchmarking for characterising and evaluating the performance of high-end supercomputers. Momme is an NVIDIA DLI certified instructor for Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++. His research interests are various aspects of parallel computing, and new programming languages and paradigms on novel HPC architectures.
